Hampi Art Labs

Illustrated map of the Vidyanagar Township, Hampi & Anegundi. I find the process of illustrating maps quite fascinating because as an artist, unlike a cartographer, this allows one to interpret a region, its terrain, flora and fauna, colours and visual culture in a more whimsical manner. 

Launched in February 2024, Hampi Art Labs is a new arts centre near the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hampi in south India. Evolving from a legacy of supporting art and heritage in India for over 30 years and founded by Sangita Jindal and her daughter Tarini Jindal Handa, Hampi Art Labs is an initiative of the JSW Foundation – the social development arm of the JSW Group, one of India’s leading business houses.
