Deeya Paris – To India, my love

In the early winter of 2022, the very kind Marielou Phillips and Matthieu Foss presented my video installation titled ‘𝙏𝙤 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙖, 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚’, at the launch of Deeya Paris, their beautiful and carefully curated space showcasing contemporary Indian style and culture in Paris. 

I remember everything about that evening so vividly, the scent of fresh mogra on Rue des Coutures-Saint-Gervais, these visuals being projected on the exterior walls of Museé Picasso, with drawings of Marine Drive in Bombay, the Char Minar, jalebis from Johri bazaar—all subtly lighting up the historic Parisian walls.
